I haven't blogged about our lives in a while. So here is a little bit of what our family has been up to this summer...
Charlie went to Belize for a 1 week mission trip. He had an amazing time using his talents to photograph and video the mission trip. He has thousands of pictures and videos. He will be compiling all of the pictures and videos to make a movie for our church. Our church will hold a movie night and movies from all of the years mission trips will be featured. This will be sometime in January so he still has a while to work on it.

Belize Part 1
Harrison is continuing with physical therapy to help him get strong enough to walk. We are a full time walker on our knees but just cannot get the confidence to get off our knees. He can walk on his own-just not quite confident enough to do it full time. Last week the physical therapist noticed that his feet were starting to turn inward and that his big toes were also turning in which meant he needed some help correcting this. She felt like a small orthotic called a "leap frog" would help correct this in a short time period. He would wear them at all times as long as he is awake and hopefully this would give him the stability he needed and help keep his foot in the correct position to start walking full time on his own. This is a picture of what the orthotic would look like. He would have his feet casted and molded to make the orthotic.
We have been praying every night since then that Harrison would just take off walking and that he wouldn't need this orthotic. Today at PT our physical therapist noticed a HUGE improvement- and she told us she is going to wait one more week before putting in the order for the orthotic. If she thinks he still needs them we will go forward. We are praying that the Lord heals his feet and that the orthotic can be avoided. We have been walking him around like crazy trying to strengthen these muscles on our own. Please be praying with us for a healthy walking toddler. =)Harrison is changing more and more every week. He is now saying- "more" (and signing more) "mama," "dada," "ball," "uh oh," "bye bye" "All" (while signing all done), "key," and "kitty." We got three new molars last week! We got our 3rd haircut today and we are looking pretty stinking cute!
We have been having small group at our home since April. It has been wonderful to have everyone from our small group in our home. We have two more weeks until it is moved to our leaders new home just a few blocks away! =) This is a picture of the whole gang in our home with the, now retired, small group trophy. What a blessing each of these people are in our lives!

Sometimes we have a little too much fun...
We have been having a great summer! We have gotten to see Courtney and Hadley a LOT and Hadley and Harrison cannot quite get enough of each other.
And we honestly...cannot quite get enough of them!!
I am keeping the sweetest little boy ever! His name is Shep.... I keep him two days a week and boy do we have fun. Harrison is such a great helper and LOVES to have Shep around!
He takes his naps in Harrison's old swing...so just for fun Harrison had to re-live the good 'ole days...
Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! We love y'all!!

Loved your recent postings of your summer months! Ashleigh, little Harrison looks just like you when you were that age. Sorry Charlie, you may be able to dress the same but right now, he looks like his Mama! Your happiness as a family truly makes our hearts smile!
Our love,
Papa and Grammy
